It’s that exciting time of year—PTO Board Voting is here! Throughout the month of April, we’ll be voting to elect our 2025–2026 PTO Executive Board. As members of our Parent Teacher Organization, we invite you to take part by casting your vote for each board position. Your voice matters, and your participation helps shape the future of our GFE community!
Bylaws Update – Membership Vote Required
In addition to voting for our Executive Board, we’re also asking for your approval on proposed changes to our Bylaws. This year, we’ve created new Board positions, which requires updating the Bylaws to include these roles. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, any changes to our Bylaws must be approved by a vote of the membership.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please feel free to reach out to us via email at gladdenfarmspto@gmail.com
Remember, you only need to vote once and all votes are anonymous. Thank you for your dedication to our school, and happy voting!
*Please note this is an uncontested ballot*
I’m Amanda Mizell, and I’m your nominee for President (2nd Term). I’m a frazzled, but proud mom to Amelia (3rd) and Caleb (2nd). If you haven’t heard already, I’m also married to Chance – the costume guy. I’ve lived in Gladden since 2011, and I’m just amazed at how much our community has grown and flourished over the years.
With a background in Business Information Systems, I’ve had the opportunity to explore various roles, from database administration, association board/committee management to project management, and social media/digital marketing. When I’m not working, volunteering, and holding on for dear life managing the family, I enjoy unwinding with movies, music, and doom scrolling on TikTok in my pjs.
I’m honored to be nominated for President again. It has been a very busy year with so many firsts and I’m eager to see what next year brings. I look forward to continuing to support our students, teachers, staff, and all of you in any way I can.
The GFE PTO is thrilled to highlight Janelle Mendoza as our nominee for Vice President! Let’s get to know her!
Janelle has worked in healthcare for 15 years, which perfectly suits her, as helping others comes so naturally. For Janelle, being on the PTO means looking at fun and creative ways to create and foster great connections with the kids, teachers, and parents. She loves getting to participate in activities that mean so much to her own children.
Janelle is the proud momma of one child at Gladden, in 3rd grade, and a little one at home. “I’ve seen the support and care this school and the PTO gives to each and every one of its students. I would love the opportunity to help be that positive influence.”
We are beyond happy to have Janelle on our 2025-2026 nominee roster!
He’s got drills, he’s got skills, and he’s ready to build a PLINKO Board! Our GFE PTO is excited to highlight Chance Mizell as our nominee for Treasurer!
Chance is the very proud dad to Amelia (3rd grade) and Caleb (2nd grade). He grew up in Oklahoma - Boomer Sooner!!, and moved to Gladden in 2011. He’s a Vision Center Manager who loves engaging with people! He’s a big kid at heart and always brings out the fun in our fundraising. As the guy in the group, he’s our master builder and first up on the ladder. You’ve seen him around, but you might not know it - remember Cupid, the Orange Cone, or the Alien? That’s him! This will be Chance’s 2nd nomination for Treasurer and we’re glad he’s back. He’s really good at keeping us on budget, and even let’s us go a little crazy sometimes.
We’re excited to have him as one of our 2025-2026 nominees!
Our GFE PTO is so very excited to highlight Ana Dozier as our nominee for Secretary! Let’s get to know her!
Ana is a Registered Nurse and an amazing mom to Daxton, who is currently in 2nd grade. Her husband, Camron Dozier, is the PE teacher and Head Track Coach at Marana High School. She grew up in Marana (hence her nickname “Ana from Marana”) and loves living here. She loves all music and enjoys crafting and photography. Her family loves the outdoors - hiking, sports, and exploring in their Polaris.
This is Ana’s first nomination to the Board, and we are proud to have her as one of our 2025-2026 nominees!!
Jen is a proud GFE parent and long-time resident who’s been calling Gladden home since 2017. With 22 years of experience at GEICO under her belt, Jen knows a thing or two about customer service—and she’s ready to put those skills to work (just don’t ask her to man the popcorn machine... she’s working on it!).
Her daughter, Ali, is in 4th grade and keeps busy with Girl Scouts and cheering for Marana Thunder. After surviving—and thriving through this last Girl Scout cookie season, Jen has mastered the art of staying organized and thinking outside the box to help Ali meet her sales goals. She enjoys chatting with people, loves setting goals to keep motivated, and is genuinely excited about reaching out to donors and vendors to support our school.
As a family, they love attending school dances, and Jen is excited to help bring more fun (and funds!) in her new role. She’s looking forward to connecting with the community, trying something new, and maybe—just maybe—showing that popcorn machine who’s boss!
She’s bringing big PTO energy to your feed! Meet Jillian Sheridan, your nominee for Communication Coordinator. She’ll be keeping everyone informed, involved, and inspired!
Jillian is a proud stay-at-home mom to William, a first grader at Gladden. Before stepping into full-time motherhood, she worked in the field of Orthotics and Prosthetics. A Gladden Farms resident since 2019, Jillian stays active in the community as a coach for 8U lacrosse with the Marana Reapers.
She loves volunteering at GFE and is passionate about supporting both staff and families to help create a safe, welcoming, and fun learning environment. Jillian is excited for the opportunity to serve as your Communication Coordinator for the 2025–2026 school year!
We are very excited to welcome Alexis Smith as our nominee for Chief Support Officer! Let’s get to know her!
Alexis joins the roster with 18 years of experience in human resources. She has dedicated her career to supporting communities, fostering engagement, and organizing impactful events. She will be utilizing her expertise in employee engagement initiatives, recruiting, fundraising, and strong skills in Word, Excel, and Canva to help us efficiently plan and execute projects that benefit students, families, and staff. Her connections with local food trucks and nonprofit associations will provide us with valuable resources for community-driven events.
Her family has proudly called Gladden home since 2020. Her son will be starting 1st grade at GFE next fall, and she’s eager to bring her experience and passion to the PTO - ensuring strong support for our school and its programs.
We’re excited to have her as one of our 2025-2026 nominees!
